ESHTE Project Coordinator Tara Brown was invited to present at the Community Crime Prevention Two Day Campus Watch Seminar organised by the Garda Crime Prevention National Center of Excellence. Tara introduced the ESHTE Project and the #ItStopsNow Campaign to around 160 gardai. She also provided specific training to attendees on sexual offences and various forms of sexual harassment. We were delighted to join our ESHTE Project National Advisory Committee Members, Sergeant Amanda Flood and Detective Inspector Michael Lynch who discussed the development of the Divisional Protection Services Units (DPSU's) as well as information that Garda First Responders should obtain from a person making a complaint of sexual assault.
This training was a welcome opportunity and we would like to thank our colleagues in the Gardai for inviting us to attend.
